Parlando produced another determined performance to land the John Smith’s Handicap at Chester on Saturday, coming from last to first under a well-judged ride from Ryan Kavanagh.
The seven-year-old was settled at the rear of the seven-runner field throughout the early stages before being asked for his effort approaching the final furlong. Responding willingly, Parlando made smooth headway to challenge before taking up the lead inside the final 110 yards. He stayed on strongly to score by half a length.
It was another determined display from Parlando, who showed plenty of resolution to get the job done in the closing stages.
