Finn Russell backed up his recent win at Wolverhampton by taking the Apprentice Handicap at Lingfield under Jack Enright, giving the young apprentice a first career success.

Jack didn’t panic after missing the break slightly, and let Finn find a good rhythm down the back.

After being shuffled back before the home turn, he found a great run up the inside and from a furlong out was always going best. He came home by three-parts of a length and could complete a hat-trick in the week or so.
