Nuptown Girl got off the mark with a game performance at Newmarket on Friday evening under Ryan Kavanagh.
After missing the break, the four-year-old recovered well to get herself into contention before taking up the running two furlongs from home. She was challenged inside the final furlong but dug deep to hold on by a nose and record a deserved maiden success.
It was a well-deserved first victory for Nuptown Girl, and congratulations go to her owners, Nuptown Mischief, on their winner.
