Jackabi got off the mark with a determined victory at Chepstow on Saturday evening under Ryan Kavanagh.
Always prominent, the three-year-old travelled strongly throughout before taking up the lead over a furlong from home. He found plenty when challenged inside the final furlong to hold off the runner-up and score by half a length.
It was a deserved first career success for Jackabi, who had been running consistently in recent starts. Congratulations go to owner Paul Williams on a well-earned winner.
