Chilly Breeze back in the winner’s enclosure at Bath

Chilly Breeze got his head in front at Bath on Tuesday, winning the AEL Solutions Handicap over a mile for Shelmore Bloodstock.

The four-year-old had finished second on his previous two starts over a mile, so it was good to see him go one better this time.

Partnered by Silvestre De Sousa, he travelled well throughout and moved into the lead over two furlongs from home. He stayed on strongly inside the final furlong to win by three-quarters of a length.

He has been showing good signs of his potential in recent starts, and it was pleasing to see him put it all together and get his head in front. Hopefully there is more to come from him.
