Swordbill stepped up to two miles at Kempton Park this evening, and completed a quick-fire double, having won at Chelmsford on Saturday.
He carried a penalty for his win three days ago, but that impost proved no issue.
Given a confident ride by David Egan, Swordbill wasn’t asked to get racing until the final quarter-mile … once given the office at the distance, he stayed on strongly to beat General Zoff by four lengths.
