Starlyte showed plenty of promise on her racing debut at Huntingdon earlier in the month and got off the mark in good style this afternoon at Kelso under Charlie Todd.
In the early part of the race she raced in mid-div. Charlie got to work around three furlongs down and got serious with a quarter of a mile to run.
Starlyte responded well, led over 1f out, and despite running green for pressure she soon galloped clear to beat the favourite by almost five lengths.
