The Paddock a.k.a The Parade Ring is the ideal opportunity for racegoers to see horses before they race during the pre-parade around 30 minutes before the race. Owners, including part-owners along their trainers and team have privileged access inside The Paddock

They will be tacked up (saddled, etc) before the enter the ring to offer the first chance for many racegoers and punters to view the horses before they race.

Racing enthusiasts and experts will be paying a keen eye on each horses ‘vibe’ before placing a last-minute bet – do they look in good spirits and condition, do they look alert but not agitated?

After the horses, jockeys will also make their entrance into The Paddock and will often have a quick catch-up with trainer and owner to recap on strategy before the bell rings – signalling it’s time to jump on and head to the starting line!
