Sophosc for The Harefield Racing Club put up a game display to win Race 29 of the Racing League at Southwell under Callum Shepherd.
Success looked unlikely at the top of the home straight, but the 6yr old responded well to Callum’s urgings.
Hitting the front inside the final furlong, Sophosc kept on well to win by three parts of a length.
