On just his sixth ride, our amateur jockey Josh Agar posted his first career success on Sophosc at Newbury.
It wasn’t a simple win by any means as Sophosc ducked right coming out of the stalls and he was in the rear group early on.
Josh got after his mount from two down and the pair joined issue with the favourite inside the final furlong.
After a brief tussle, Sophosc got his head in front in the final 100 yards and hit the line a neck in front.
A proud moment for the yard and a memory that will last a lifetime for Josh!
