North Hill was travelling ominously well when falling at the 3rd last hurdle at Southwell during the week, but made no mistake at Stratford.
Given a very confident ride by Tom O’Brien, the Westerner gelding was always moving well and he came from last to take up the running at the final flight before striding on to win for the first time.
He runs in the colours of the passionate Jacky Allen, who’s best horse in recent years was the staying chaser, Fredo.
