Monjeni got off the mark for the yard from a mark of 60 a fortnight ago, and followed up today from a rating of 66 over the same course and distance this time under Stevie Donohoe.
Things didn’t go to plan for the whole trip, as Stevie was boxed in on the inside rounding the long turn for home.
With the favourite getting first run, and a six lengths advantage with two furlongs to run, Monjeni did well to run down the Irish raider inside the final furlong.
