Aqwaam for Pat Kelly stepped up to 2m and backed up his recent win at Chelmsford to post a 3rd career win at Newcastle under Kieran O’Neill.
After biding time for over 12f, Kieran moved the grey to challenge from two down. Hitting the front a furlong out, Aqwaam was already holding Animato, eventually prevailing by three parts of a length.
Now we know Aqwaam stays so well, that opens up more options this autumn/winter.
