Giant produced a determined performance at Brighton on Sunday to land the Brighton Summer Sprint Series Final, giving Mr S Bell and the team a very good Class 2 success.
Drawn 16 of 16, Harry Davies settled Giant in midfield before asking him to improve from two furlongs out. He travelled strongly through the closing stages and picked up well inside the final furlong, getting his head in front right on the line to deny Diomed Spirit by a nose.
It was a particularly pleasing victory for the six-year-old, with the drop back to six furlongs proving ideal. He showed a great attitude to battle all the way to the line and deservedly got his head in front.
