Continuity in racing is one its major attributes as a sport, so the recent news that our former multiple, dual-purpose mare, Malakahna has had her first foal brought joy to her loyal and enthusiastic owners, headed up by Steve Mackintosh.
The connection with the yard goes a little deeper, as the new-born is by Logician, who stands at Shade Oak Stud, and who has another one of our loyal owners, Simon Cox, as a major shareholder.
On the track, many of you will remember Malakahna for her toughness and great attitude – she won four times over hurdles including a famous win at Cheltenham and three on the flat, including a never-say-die success at Newmarket – watch again here
