Bol D’Air was a three times winner during his racing career, twice over hurdles, including winning at Newbury under Richard Johnson.
Read below to see how this 11yo gelding has adapted to life post racing in the words of his new owner Anita:
We call this handsome lad Bobby, I think myself so lucky to have a horse like him, he is one in a million and the yard favourite!
I’ve had Bobby for just over a year now. I wasn’t looking for another horse at the time, but when I saw Bobby, I fell in love. After a few weeks of owning Bobby, we really started to see him come out of his shell and get to know his personality; he is a cheeky chap and is so playful and loving.
Me and Bobby love jumping and have been to a few shows, he enjoys going to the beach and is at his happiest when he is going out for a hack. Bobby loves his work and is enjoying his new job.
He is the most kind and caring horse and has made great friends with all the other horses in the field, especially my pony Rose, I always find them going for an afternoon snooze in the field together, they are joined at the hip and love doing everything together. Bobby’s favourite is also my Grandad, he always gets spoiled with treats, carrots and apples from him every day!
We couldn’t be happier to have found a horse as amazing as him.
