First win for Chewy AKA Duc De Kent

Duc De Kent opened his account for us at Epsom yesterday, getting his head in front in the 1m 4f handicap under Conor Whiteley.

The six-year-old had plenty to find on his previous form, but he put it all together on the day and showed a good attitude when it mattered. He travelled comfortably through the race and stayed on well in the closing stages to get the better of his rivals by a neck.

It is his first win since joining the yard and a good reward for the team at home who have been getting to know him.

Better known as ‘Chewy’ around the yard, he is a cheeky character at home and certainly keeps everyone on their toes. It was good to see him put it together on the track and get his first win for us.
