Stepping Ahead won by the minimum margin at Compiegne as he won on his first run for the yard.
He was claimed from Karl Burke’s yard after winning a claimer at Catterick in May and went over to Compiegne to take advantage of the premiums for French-breds.
The race he won was a 12f Claimer with a first prize of 9,500 Euros + a 50% premium and with a 14,000 Euro claim tag, it was a case of ‘job done’
