Having opened up a decisive lead after a couple of furlongs, Pat kicked on before the one and only turn on the Rowley Mile and had an advantage of 30 lengths at halfway.
Staying on bravely when tiring in the closing stages, Stars Over The Sea eventually won by ten lengths!
