Speedo Boy defied top weight when successfully stepping up to two miles on the flat at Ascot under James Doyle.

Given a confident ride by James, Speedo Boy came from last to first and then battled on like a lion in the final furlong to hold Alqamar by a head.

Now that he’s proved he stays this trip well on the flat, there are plenty of options for Speedo Boy in the second half of the season.
