Sometimes Always wins at Doncaster

Sometimes Always for Simon Cox won the EBF Novices’ Hurdle at Doncaster under Charlie Todd and could be aimed for the EBF Final at Sandown in March.

He took a keen hold early on under Charlie, but settled into a good rhythm and was unchallenged for the lead.

Jumping well, he increased the pace turning for home. He was headed on the run to the final flight, but a slick leap at the last put him back in front and after a sustained duel to the line, he prevailed by a short-head.
