The veteran Solar Impulse backed up his recent win at Aintree with a game success at Cartmel under Liam Harrison.
On his 60th racecourse start, Solar Impulse recorded a ninth career win, defying a 6lbs impost for his victory earlier in the month.
He had to dig deep up the ultra long run-in at Cartmel, but battled on like a lion to hold the course specialist Tonto’s Spirit by half a length.
