Sirobbie for Richard Gurr posted a first win for the yard, and a 7th in all over hurdles, when holding on by a short-head over 3m2f at Fontwell Park.
Always in the front group, Sirobbie was pushed into the lead by Robbie Dunne at the second last.
Running on gamely for pressure, the top weight held the late challenge of the favourite in a photo finish.
