Sir Benedict wins at Doncaster

Sir Benedict powered home late in the opener at Doncaster to land the Nursery in the final strides under William Buick.

Things didn’t look too promising two furlongs out when Sir Benedict was still in last place.

William switched to the stands’ side, and asked for maximum effort from a furlong down and a sustained run got him up on the post to win by a nose.
