Silent Age for Sayed Hashish showed plenty of courage under Billy Loughnane to get up close home to win the Ripon Rowels.
The 4yr old Dubawi gelding made it three wins from his last five starts when dropping back to a mile at Ripon.
Silent Age looked boxed in and struggling for room after the two pole, but Billy was patient, switched the favourite out inside the final furlong and got up in the final 50 yards to beat Barley by a neck.
