Saunter for Michael Watt and Billy Slater backed up his recent win in France with success over 12f at Newmarket under Andrea Atzeni.
Confidently ridden by Andrea, Saunter took closer order about three furlongs out and hit the front with two to run.
Despite drifting right in the dip, he stayed on strongly to the line to beat Huge Future by a length and a half.
