Restorer maintained his fine record on the Roodee with a second success at Chester under a fine ride from David Egan.
Always close to the pace, Restorer joined issue with the long time leader Lawn Ranger inside the final furlong or so and got his grey head down on the line to win by a short-head.
After Sir Benedict lost out in a photo in the opener, it was good to get the verdict this time!
