Psychedelic Rock showed plenty of promise on his recent chase debut over this course and distance at Ludlow and improved on that effort to get off the mark over the larger obstacles in an incident packed Beginners’ Chase.
Tom held his mount up for the majority of the race, and after making his challenge from two out he took the lead at the final fence.
Despite veering right on the run in, he held on well to beat Equus Secretus by two and a half lengths.
