Noble Behest showed his turn wasn’t far away when 2nd over course and distance last month and he duly stepped up to break his duck over hurdles at Newton Abbot under Robbie Dunne.
Always prominent, he took up the lead three out and then stayed on gamely from the home turn.
A slick jump at the last sealed the deal, and he battled on well to win by a length and a quarter.
