My Dad Syd kept things simple and made all the running to win a 17 runner sprint handicap at Newbury under Ted Durcan.
This was his first win since he landed a maiden at Doncaster on his racecourse debut last August.
He had run well on his last two starts when we tried blinkers (Ripon) and a visor (Redcar) and today he wore the blinkers again.
