Malakahna made it three wins from six starts over hurdles with a game success in the John Haine Memorial Hurdle at Newbury under Tom Buckley.
The likeable 4yr old filly for the Macable Partnership got a great ride from Tom Buckley, who took the ride as Charlie Todd was on duty at Ayr.
Tom made his move in the home straight and got his mount to challenge the long time leader The Plimsoll Line on the run to the final flight.
Once Malakahna hit the front, she stayed on strongly to come home two lengths ahead at the line.
