Malakahna for the Macable Partnership took advantage of a class drop to land the odds in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Kempton under Charlie Todd.
The filly isn’t the easiest ride, but Charlie got her into a challenging position off the home turn and hit the front before the second last.
She hung left on the run to the last, which she then hit, before keeping on strongly on the run to the line to come home four lengths ahead of Cool Stone.
