Galway Reel showed tenacity under pressure to get up close home under a strong ride from Charlie Todd at Market Rasen.
The 6yr old showed plenty of promise on his second start over fences at Worcester last month and was given an excellent ride by Charlie.
He was put into the race in the final mile, got into contention from three out and responded generously to pressure to get up in the final 100 yards to beat the favourite by a neck.
