What a nice surprise!
The well-bred, but cheaply bought, Emraan put up an eye-catching performance on his debut to win well at Lingfield under Richard Kingscote.
He travelled well in the race, but was no better than 4th on the turn for home.
Railing well, he made good progress to challenge up the inside over a furlong down and then very quickly put the race to bed.
His winning margin was three and three-quarter lengths.
