Loyalty is sadly not as prevalent as it once was, but Sotirios Hassiakos has been a keen and loyal supporter of the yard for a while, so it was great that Diaktoros won for him and his partner in crime, Sir Alex Ferguson on his first start for me at Wolverhampton.

Diaktoros is going to make a lovely hurdler, but since he arrived in the yard, he has shown enough for me to think he could pick up a race on the flat before he switches codes.

And on the basis of what he did tonight, there could be a handicap or two in him now on the level, so that change of scenery might wait now.

As viewers on ATR or at the track could see, Diaktoros has plenty of size and scope and a great stride on him.

Once he turned for home at Dunstall Park, Stevie was able to let me stride and run, and the result from two furlongs out was never really in doubt.
