Conry showed great courage to respond to a persistent ride from Stevie Donohoe to win at Wolverhampton.

The run from the stalls to the first bend is very short at Wolverhampton, but Stevie rushed Conry up on the inside and his mount responded to hold a rail position.

The pace up was frenetic and unsustainable, and although Conry was only sixth turning for home, Stevie switched Conry out for a run, and the result was a sustained run from two furlongs out.

Conry was always going to win from a furlong down, and he landed the prize by a length from Greeleys Love.

Hikesh and Kiren Parmar are wonderfully committed and enthusiastic owners, and this is the first winner in their colours – hopefully the first of many.
