Cap Francais wins at Newmarket

Cap Francais posted a dramatic win in the Betfair Heritage Handicap at Newmarket under James Doyle.

This first success for the yard for the imposing son of Frankel was not without controversy as the 6yr old struggled to cope with the undulations of the Rowley Mile for a few strides after passing the bushes.

However, James Doyle got his mount running straight from a furlong down and Cap Francais held on well to beat Turntable by half a length.
