Bamako du Chatelet gets off the mark

On his fifth start for the yard, the 5yr old grey, Bamako du Chatelet got his head in front for the first time, landing a 12f handicap at Lingfield under James Doyle.

Having shown promise on his previous runs this year, this win wasn’t coming out of turn.

James Doyle had to get after Bamako at various points during the race, but his mount responded well and he was a worthy winner.

His owners are fairly local to Lingfield and have been loyal and enthusiastic supporters of the yard.
