Although he got off the mark on the turf at Rochefort-sur-Loire in late July, there’s little doubt that Le Sid is better suited to the all-weather tracks where his record to date is 212.

The win came in a conditions race at Deauville when he comfortably outpointed the long odds on Harvey over an extended 9f – watch again here.

His current rating of 77 looks fair on the balance of his form this year and he should prove competitive in handicaps from a mile to 10 furlongs.
