Supido continued his progressive profile with a determined success in the Earl Grosvenor Handicap at Chester yesterday under Billy Loughnane.
The 4-year-old arrived at the meeting on the back of a string of consistent performances in competitive handicaps, including notable efforts in strong company last season, and made the most of a return to the Roodee.
Always travelling comfortably in a prominent position, Billy angled Supido into contention turning for home before asking him to challenge approaching the final furlong. Responding gamely, Supido quickened to lead inside the closing stages and stayed on well to score by half a length at the line.
The son of Blue Point showed a smart turn of foot and a willing attitude late on to secure another valuable success for the yard.
